Walter Afanasieff (born Vladimir Nikitich Afanasyev; [1] February 10, 1958 [2]), formerly nicknamed Baby Love in the 1980s, is an American record producer and songwriter. He was a collaborator with Mariah Carey on her first six studio albums.
