In 1931, the Universalist congregation in Table Grove merged with the congregations of the Disciples of Christ and the Presbyterians to form a single Protestant church; the Illinois Universalist Congregation gave the new church the Universalists' building. Table Grove is located in western Fulton County. U.S. Route 136 passes through the center of the village, leading east 23 miles (37 km) to Havana and northwest 17 miles (27 km) to Macomb . According to the 2021 census gazetteer files, Table Grove has a total area of 0.28 square miles (0.73 km 2 ), all land.
