Carteret County (/ ˌ k ɑːr. t ə ˈ r ɛ t / KAR-tuh-REHT or / ˌ k ɑːr. t ɜːr ˈ ɛ t / KAR-tur-ET) [1] [2] is a county located in the U.S. state of North Carolina.
