City Group of Colleges is a group of schools located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. It was established in 2005 under the patronage of Rajendra Prasad Society. It is registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. It is affiliated to Lucknow University [1] [2] and Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University. [3]
The building housing the City College was established on September 4, 1921. British Architect Vincent Esch was commissioned by Hyderabad City Improvement Board to design and construct this building. The newly built building was initially used to house a school then known as Dar-ul-Uloom, and later in 1929 was converted into a college. [3]
As of 2011 Census of India, the town had a population of 5,686.The total population constitute, 2,815 males, 2,871 females and 732 children, in the age group of 0–6 years.

In the same year the college campus was shifted from the aforesaid location to the present location. In 1965, the college opened a graduate course and a science group in the day branch.
