Ocean Realm was a quarterly magazine dedicated to scuba diving, underwater photography and marine life. The magazine was established in 1988. [1] It was published in San Antonio, Texas and was globally distributed to subscribers. The founder was Richard Stewart. [2] He also was the publisher and editor-in-chief of the magazine. [3]
A few years later, when the new owners of Ocean Realm magazine appointed DeLoach to the position of editor-in-chief, he invited Humann to join him as co-editor. Under their guidance, the once-floundering publication became a success. It was during their two years at the magazine's helm that they discovered how well they worked together.
