Can be crafted with an iron nugget as a head in a fletching table. Aquatic arrows: work underwater unaffected. allowing bows to be useful in the water. Crafted with a prismarine shard as the head. Spectral arrows: works the same but is crafted in the fletching table with glowstone as the head.
The Fletching Table has been in Minecraft for Years and still doesn't have a use. But what if we added Gilded arrows to Minecraft. After crafting arrows with a flint, stick, and feather. You could go to the fletching table and add in iron ingot to 4 arrows to get 4 iron tipped arrows that could do extra damage.
Fletching table lets you craft currently uncraftable items like saddles, nametags, elytra, etc but with an XP cost similar to an anvil based on how many times you use the table. Also, it breaks eventually, and requires a copy of the initial item in each crafting recipe, which then becomes damaged from use.
So in 1.14, the smithing and fletching tables have been created. They serve no purpose but were promised one in the next major themed update. Now at the finishing stage of 1.16 the smithing table is used as a way to upgrade from diamonds to netherite, but the fletching table still serves no purpose. I have some ideas for how to use it. 1.
While I was looking to copy a sound effect for a texture pack in 1.15.json, I stumbled across the sound files smithing_table1, 2, and 3 and fletching_table1 and 2. The suggestion about the fletching table itself has potential! I would also suggest adding a dictionary for brewing and fletching. Many mods have them, usually requires a book and 1 item. As the reciepe i suggest book + awkward potion / exp bottle. Call it Alchemy something, Craftonomicon idc.
Note that their interpretation ("I've got 7.8GB available RAM so allocating max 4GB to MC should be fine") is incorrect - the JVM itself uses RAM, and the game itself uses off-heap memory for things like OpenGL, neither of which are included in the memory usage shown in F3, which only shows Java heap memory, and 7.8 GB appears to be the ...
If anyone is able to help me with this that would be great! Also for other blocks like the furnace, fletching table, cartography table, + other blocks that use more than 1 custom side texture if anyone knows if that would be the same naming system that the crafting table to use. Thank you if you are able to help me with this.
I'd like to see the Fletching Table allow us to create a larger number of Arrows from the raw materials (maybe 6 instead of 4), as well as more-efficiently produce Spectral Arrows (2 Glowstone Dust + 1 Arrow = 2 Spectral Arrows) and perhaps allow us to create contrail/tracer effects on Arrows by combining up to 8 of them with a colored Firework ...
