The beauty of the Gamestop stock incident is that it's a modern day equivalent of poor workers stringing up robber barons and beating the shit out of them with sticks. They only got hit in the finances this time but it was still satisfying to watch the rich fucks lose everything they had.

Despite GameStop’s trajectory / transformation, the presence of those who oppose GameStop is a very noticeable thing… from the attacks on the price, to the negative sentiment that is spread through mainstream media. The stock is still being shorted, and the news does not like to speak about the amazing things that GameStop is doing.
All because they borrowed a “$1 stock”. Doesn’t matter the price on a shorted stock, they owe the stock back and if the company’s stock isn’t very liquid (ie only 1 share on the market) that share holder can request whatever number they want as long as that number is lower than the cost of bankruptcy for the short sellers
People way richer and better at investing than me are propping this thing up for some reason. But I can’t make a bull case for it. Gaming was probably one of the first sectors to leave behind brick and mortar stores. Been an avid gamer since the 80’s, and I haven’t set foot in a GameStop in over a decade. Who’s in there? And why?
