To be honest I never really listened to the band although I was aware of who Elkie Brooks was and she became quite a big name in the UK during the 1970s and 1980s anyway whenever the band name Vinegar Joe was mentioned down the years I always think back to that time in 1972 when I met that busker dude down on the London underground.
Basically, I run an Instagram page that posts tons of obscure and lost rock and metal tunes from all kinds of different eras, but mostly 70's. There were a lot more great American bands out there than people think, but one state I can't find any from is the state where I reside: West Virginia. Not looking for country, or blues.
As for the list, it's a very good list and I agree with the majority of the artists listed. Quite of few of these omissions from the Rock Hall coupled with some of the artists that actually are in it, just prove that the place should be renamed from the RnR Hall of Fame to the RnR Hall of Sham. Also thinking out loud in the moment it's occurred to me that the term "hair metal" and the way it came about isn't too different from a certain music journalist in the UK coming up with the term "New Wave of British Heavy Metal" (NWOBHM) to label certain heavy rock bands in the UK during the late 70's and early 80's?
Although they released their 1st album in 1979, their biggest seller was in 1982. Axe is the group and Offering was the album. A very good hard rock album, they faded fast after it's release. They released one more album in the 80s and then nothing until the late 90s. Too bad really, they had a good sound.
