Anytime the battery is disconnected, it defaults back to kPa... and I don't notice it for a few days, then have to remember to reset it once I come to a stop somewhere. Thank you for this. Works on Subaru Legacy too. Went through a quick forum search before posting/sharing this... Rather than "recreate the wheel" discovered detailing ...

Finally got around to playing with that display on my 2019 that gives you the choice of several things; one of which is tire pressure. In the manual it shows PSI, but on my display it shows kPa.

It was too weak to even lock the doors. AAA Jump Started it. Everything seemed fine except that the units used in the Tire Pressure Sensor Display changed from psi to kPa. The next day I took it to the dealer and the service advisor reset the units to psi while sitting in the driver's seat. He then had the battery tested by a technician.
Or look at page 3-44 in the manual (US spec): "Tire Pressure Units". It is set with the steering wheel controls in the lower left area of the wheel. Instructions are under "Menu Screens" on page 3-43. When I changed the useless Subaru battery my Tire pressure defaulted to kPa.
This tyre placard recommends a minimum tyre pressure of 32psi for the 2020 Subaru Outback. This is equal to 220kPa and 2.2bar. I'm fine with that...I'm not a metric-phobe...however, I'm baffled as to how someone can change it to imperial if they want. I've been back and forth in the manual and haven't found this tip.
Then, I got home, and I tried to reset my tire pressure setting from kPa to PSI. To do this, I went to the Home screen and pressed Settings. From there, everything went bonkers. It started scrolling through every setting on its own, started calling a dealership number on my phone, started scrolling through everything!
