Charlotte Honey Bees are a National Basketball Association Cheerleading squad that performs at Charlotte Hornets games in the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. [1] [2] The HoneyBees were dancers for the Charlotte Hornets from 1988 until 2002, when they became the Charlotte Lady Cats [3] while the NBA basketball team was named the Charlotte Bobcats.
The Honey Bees perform sideline dances as well as center-court dances during games. They also represent the Hornets brand as ambassadors to the community and are involved in community service activities and charity functions. When the team was known as the Bobcats, the cheerleaders were called the Lady Cats. [227]
