In 1856, the first Jewish congregation, the Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation, was organized. In 1914, the Jewish Federation built a settlement house on the Southside on Morris Street. [2] By 1890 Indianapolis' near south side was densely populated and had the highest percentage of foreign-born residents of any district in the city.
Then in 1991, she headed to Indianapolis where she began reporting for WISH-TV's 11 p.m. newscast and anchored the CBS affiliate's 5:30 p.m. newscast, with colleague Scott Swan. From 2000 to 2004, Tiernon was a news anchor at WLWT-TV in Cincinnati, Ohio , as the anchor of the 5, 6, and 11 p.m. newscasts, alongside veteran anchor Dave Wagner.
Lee divorced Deborah in 1974. He married Gennie Goode in March of 1975, and the couple moved to Indiana. They had one child in 1977. Gennie divorced Lee in 1991. Lee then married a prominent Indianapolis attorney, Linda Pence. She divorced him after two years. Lee then married his former co-anchor Diane Willis in January 2000.

She was born as Janet Leola Floyd in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1941. [3] She and her mother Mary Floyd lived in an Indianapolis housing project; her mother worked as a maid and hospital ward secretary. [4] Both her parents were African-American; they also had European and Native American ancestry. [5]

She was later an anchor/reporter at WXIN-TV in Indianapolis, Indiana, before moving on to WPVI-TV in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In January 2016, she joined ABC News. In 2023, she and DeMarco Morgan became co-anchors of GMA3: What You Need to Know.
