Simplest way to explain it, is slide out won't work normally. But seems to have power. #1. Replaced old battery w/ new. #2. Tested wires going to the 40amp short stop breaker as well as the 30amp short stop breaker. (Seems to be working fine 12v the whole way) #4. I have connected a battery to the electric motor to the slide and it works ...

What a great forum you have! On my last trip to Mexico my slide out wouldn't come in. I took the switch off the wall to make sure it was connected. When I tried to bring it in the second time the switch caught fire out side of the wall. If it had still been in the wall I'm sure my trailer woud...

We have an 2006 KZ Sportsmen Sportster 33P with one main floor slide. We have extended the slide and now are unable to retract it. It appears that a motor bracket bolt is broken and lets the motor twist and the gears do not engage when trying to bring the slide in. The slide was manufactured by RBW Industries now part of AL-KO.

Texas Hill Country. The first two or three years (maybe longer?) after the switch to Lippert (Power Gear or whatever it was) from HWH, there were slide design issues due to a 'misunderstanding' about slide tolerances. Dimensional tolerance was more critical than the Winnebago designers understood which caused the slide mechanism to get out of ...

The switch for the slide is almost surely just a trigger for a relay that in turn powers the slide motor. The relay could have failed, or the main power to the relay is out. If you can locate the relay, check there to see if main 12v power is present and if the relay closes (clicks) when the wall switch is engaged.

A friend of mine is looking at purchasing a new Coachman TT. It has the cable drive systems to extend and retract the slides. He's wondering if the cable system is reliable. Looking to hear any pros and cons on this type system. I have a Montana High Country and have the cables and have never had any issues for 4 years since we owned it.

The trailer has not been in any accidents to my knowledge. Also I should mention it is the 2002 with Aluminum frame and manual slide out. Also i don't know if this is from the non complete seal but above the slide out interior there was a little condensation over night. It had dropped to about 5 degrees Celsius and the heater was running inside.

    2. N. I have a 2014 Nexus Ghost 34' Super C diesel. The front seats will not move far enough backward to see out of the side mirrors or clear the steering wheel. The only way you can drive it is to have the seat back straight up and the seat all the way down. Even, at that, you can only see about 1/3 of the highway lane behind you.
