We are the 20th largest district in Iowa. Located in the heart of Iowa, we are 37 miles north of the state capital city, Des Moines. We are comprised of one high school, one middle school, five elementary schools and one preschool. We have updated, state-of-the-art facilities, and the new Ames High School opened in August 2022.
