Well the Dover demon is probably not a crawler, because of it's size, limb proportions, head shape, and body length. But it is a very interesting cryptid, because it has been sighted a couple times and never again.
If the Dover Demon/possible orangutan had no hair, that would emphasise the head shape and show the peach coloured skin beneath, as described by Bartlett (17 year old witness) in April 1977. The skin surrounding the orangutan’s face could also be dark, as described by Baxter (15 year old witness) on the same day in 1977.

The Dover Demon is an absolute classic story, and pretty creepy too. I've been puzzled by it for years. But having read Loren Coleman's full account of his investigation (in his book 'Mysterious America') I think it was a hoax by bored kids.
Its first spotting was in 1977 in Dover, Massachusetts. I just so happened to be watching a YouTube documentary on cryptids and thought “Dang this thing looks like Rodger” lol. Am i tripping or can yall see it too.
