A newer tradition that is quickly gaining popularity is an event called Walworth County Fair Country Idol. The contest consists of three parts: auditions, semifinals, and finals. Auditions are usually held at the Walworth County Fairgrounds in early to mid June, with semi-finals and finals occurring near or during the annual fair.

Walworth County is a county located in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. As of the 2020 census, the population was 106,478. [2] Its county seat is Elkhorn. [3] The county was created in 1836 from Wisconsin Territory and organized in 1839. [4] It is named for Reuben H. Walworth. [5]

Walworth has two public schools. Walworth Joint School District 1 operates Walworth Elementary as a PreK-8 school with approximately 575 students. [9] Big Foot High School serves approximately 468 students in grades 9–12 from the villages of Fontana, Sharon and Walworth; and the townships of Walworth, Delavan, Linn and Sharon. [10]
