my freesat 4K recordable box for the past few days has been starting with "setting up your dish" this lasts from a few seconds to 1 minute, today I switched my set on only to find that the complete home screen has changed, I have not received information regarding this change, the 'Home, TV...
Freesat is a free-to-air digital satellite television joint venture between the BBC and ITV plc, serving the United Kingdom. The service was formed as a memorandum in 2007 and has been marketed since 6 May 2008.
This is some sort of local/Samsung issue. Both ITVHD and C4HD appear on all of my Freesat kit -- two TVs, one Sony, one LG, an Arris Freesat PVR and a Manhattan SX receiver. C4HD is not regional, or at least it wasn't, in that C4 use the London region to feed the channel nationally.
I'm still playing with the setup of my new LG 49SM8500PLA TV, and for the life of me, I can't find the option in the menus to check the signal strength and quality with the TV is being used in Freesat mode -- Freeview is fine. I checked with LG and they gave me the following: "To check the...
Freesat is a joint venture between ITV and the BBC and offers broadly the same channel line-up as Freeview but currently there are less HD channels available through the satellite service; Freesat HD has seven channels in its roster but more are likely to be on the way. Of course, as per Freeview, channels are free to watch.
freesat(TM) is broadcast using radio (micro)waves from the Astra satellite and needs connection to a dish, low noise block, and suitable receiver (some TVs have these, but many do not) for those radio waves to be used.
I have recently bought the above Freesat 500gb box to replace my Humax 1tb Freesat box on which the hard drive disk failed. Despite following the setup instructions I have the following issues: When the box and the TV are turned on I get a message: "We are setting up your dish. This may take...
Freesat sets have S2 and the EPG is broadcast from the Eurobird, not the Astra, satellite. ONLY A "FREESAT" SET WILL PICK THIS UP. A generic DVB-S2 television, as sold in other countries will not and will only show the now/next information. In addition, you will likely not get the channels arranged in the "Freesat" order eg BBC1 on 101, BBC2 on 102
And lastly a totally stupid order of displayed order of contents on the freesat humax boxes. Only you having the new box can tell us if this has now been corrected. On a humax box the episode number in the programme crid takes precedence. So a series like Father Brown that can have say 6 series with 6 episodes, weeks apart.
Hi everyone, first time a forum member hoping to get some expertise on a Freesat matter. I've been a long time Sky subscriber and am now looking to cancel my subscription in favour of Freesat. Putting aside whether or not my dish is Sky Q only LNB or Hybrid etc, I'd really like to distribute...
