LimeWire versions 5.5.10 and newer feature a "toxic" backdoor included by LimeWire Inc. that allowed LimeWire Inc. to disable the newer versions of the LimeWire software. Older versions of LimeWire prior to version 5.5.10 however do not include this "toxic" backdoor and are still fully functional.
