  2. Three Gorges Dam above flood stage - Survivalist Forum

    www.survivalistboards.com/threads/three-gorges-dam-above-flood-stage.952866/...

It wouldn't take a world power nation to send a missile or two into the Three Gorges Dam network to cause a catastrophic dam failure. China couldn't recover from that in less than a few years. That would definitely take the wind out of the CCP's world-conquering sails, even beyond the initial goal of retaking Taiwan.

Thought about making a poll but don't want to pigeonhole people into selecting an option of my choosing. If I had they might have been something like: 1) extend the duration of your current preparations, 2) expand your preparations to cover different threats, or 3) maintain your current level of preparations by upgrading or replacing expired, broken, or lost items.

For those interested, these are the Neosho, Illinois, Canadian, Verdigris, and the upper Arkansas. I might also portage the Eufaula dam to lake Eufaula, the upper Canadian, the Eufaula, and the Kiamichi rivers. My current boat can carry 800 lbs of gear and grub. It is a light wt 14 ft row boat, that moves nicely with a 5 hp outboard motor.

Our intention is to stay on the farm, even if something really bad has happened, and our main threat is bushfires (Have our own on farm fire truck/trailer and fixed fire fighting hoses on all buildings, 10,000 gallon storage tank for dam water that is gravity fed, solar pumped from the dam, to the rest of the farm etc).
