Character Building This year I read the book Have You Filled a Bucket Today by Carol McCloud. The story talks about being a bucket filler or a bucket dipper.
One of my colleagues does a poem based on the book "I Love You the Purplest," and the students pick colors that represent their mom and then fill in the rest of the images for that color (I guess you'd have to know the book to understand what I mean). That might be cute if you shorten it and have them paint their handprint their chosen color, too.
My teacher friends and family are great people who are working hard towards the finish line. However. If I see one more post about how the kid who needs the most love will show it in the least loving of ways oorrr a quote on how we just need to love them MORE or how every child with a behavior just needs empathy...

Simpli Safe.. I had for my apartment years ago. It's much cheaper but a little more fisher price looking .. ADT kind of has a monopoly on the market by us and it's really expensive and frustrating. I tried to call them yesterday to have a simple part sent out and it was a nightmare to deal with. I'd go with Simpli Safe if I had to do it over again.
