Comparing Carnival to our usual cruise lines of Princess, Royal Caribbean, and Celebrity, I would say there is more that is similar than is different. They all have strengths and weaknesses, and the experience can vary from one cruise to the next depending on the specific ship, its crew, and fellow passengers. So I guess I’m finally a VIFP.

Hope we'll find chairs with shade at the beach and/or around the pool. Looking forward to our day, Dec 4th.
One major caveat--the ship was less that half full (about 350 passengers), so some of our very positive experiences may not be duplicated when the crew to passenger ratio isn't almost 3 to 1! Also, my comments come from over 40 cruises on mainly luxury lines (Crystal, Silversea, Regent,
sfaaa. Kind of short sighted and single minded attitude. Cruise ship visits not just support port area businesses, they also generate tax revenues to fund other public services and projects that benefit local residents, provide employments to cruise ship related spinoff industries and attract investments into the area.
Holland America Line. Koningsdam Alaska cruise review 6/17-6/24. After relying on the CC boards so much as I planned our trip, I want to pay it forward by sharing our experiences on our Alaskan cruise aboard HA's Koningsdam. We were a group of 6, ranging from 40-80 in age, and everyone had cruised before, although not with Holland America.

We will be sailing on the Coral Princess out of Brisbane in early march and would be interested in any recent reviews from Coral Princess passengers. We've only sailed 2 times previously on Princess, with the Ruby Princess (pre-COVID) and Majestic Princess (post-COVID), both out of Sydney.
All over the ship people were complaining is either too cold or too hot. Our cabin was so stifling we had to open the slider numerous times to get some air, which was untenable for long periods of time and unadvisable as well. 2. The princess favorites available every day in the dining room, has been shortened.

The ship is 39 feet longer and 7 feet wider in the beam than the current fleet and will carry 68 more passengers.
