Pleasant View Christian School was founded in 1978 and held its first classes at Good Springs Free Will Baptist Church in Pleasant View, Tennessee. In 1982, Pleasant View Christian moved to its current location at 160 Hicks Edgen Road. In 1985, the high school wing of the building was added.

[7] [8] The school was originally divided into schools on the same site: Eastern Intermediate High School (grades 9-10), completed in 1992, and Eastern Senior High School (grades 11-12). There were over 1,000 students enrolled at Eastern Senior High School. Eastern Intermediate High School had approximately 1,150 enrolled students.
