Polk County is a county located in the southwestern portion of the U.S. state of Missouri. As of the 2020 census, the population was 31,519. [1] Its county seat is Bolivar. [2] The county was organized January 5, 1835, [3] and named for Ezekiel Polk. Polk County is part of the Springfield, MO Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Polk is an unincorporated community in Polk County, Missouri, United States. [1] It is located on Missouri Supplemental Route D, approximately twelve miles northeast of Bolivar. Polk is part of the Springfield, Missouri Metropolitan Statistical Area. A post office called Polk was established in 1880, and remained in operation until 1973. [2]
