New York State Route 25A (NY 25A) is a state highway on Long Island in New York, United States.It serves as the main east–west route for most of the North Shore of Long Island, running for 73 miles (117 km) from Interstate 495 (I-495) at the Queens–Midtown Tunnel in the New York City borough of Queens to NY 25 in Calverton, Suffolk County.
NY 25A, a spur of NY 25, becomes concurrent with NY 25 in Smithtown. [8] In Village of the Branch, NY 25A leaves to the north where NY 111 intersects from the south. New York State Bicycle Route 25 (NYS Bike Route 25) also begins along NY 25A at this intersection. NY 347 intersects at 47.93 miles (77.14 km) in Nesconset.
The route began at an intersection with NY 111 to NY 25 and NY 25A (Main Street). CR 15 was added to the county highway system on January 27, 1930 [ 2 ] and is no longer recognized by the Suffolk County Department of Public Works nor the New York State Department of Transportation.
