Most of the highest mountains and hills of Antigua are located in the Shekerley Mountains, while all of the highest points of Barbuda are located in the Barbuda Highlands. Out of the sixty-five named peaks in the country, the tallest is Boggy Peak , at a height of 402 metres.
Antigua Air Station was established on a portion of the former Coolidge AFB. Fort Berkeley is a historic military fort on the island of Antigua. It is located at the entrance to English Harbour in Saint Paul parish. The fort was built in 1704 and expanded in the mid 18th century. Willoughby Bay is one of the natural ports of Antigua, protected by a reef bank with passage, but shallow and relatively poorly accessible, the terrain level is steep, the inner bay, the Christian Cove, is a more extensive wetland. An English trading post was created here c. 1675. [2] This post was protected by the eastern Fort William. [3]
