Woolwich is a town in Sagadahoc County, Maine, United States. The population was 3,068 at the 2020 census. [2] It is part of the Portland–South Portland–Biddeford, Maine metropolitan statistical area. Woolwich is a suburb of the city of Bath located on the opposite shore of Merrymeeting Bay.

The Woolwich Town House is a historic government building at Old Stage and Dana Mills Roads in Woolwich, Maine. Built in 1837 with federal government surplus funds, it is a well-preserved early 19th-century town meeting house with basically vernacular style. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. [1]
