The Lone Star Football League (LSFL) was a regional professional indoor football minor league [1] that played three seasons from 2012 to 2014. All of the LSFL's charter teams were based in the state of Texas, with five teams coming from the Southern Indoor Football League, three from the Indoor Football League, plus one expansion team.
The 2013 Eastern New Mexico Greyhounds football team represented Eastern New Mexico University during the 2013 NCAA Division II football season as a member of the Lone Star Conference (LSC). Led by second-year head coach Josh Lynn, the Greyhounds played home games at Greyhound Stadium in Clovis, New Mexico.

FC Brownsville was founded in 2015 and played its first season within the NPSL in 2018. [1] The team went on a hiatus until 2020, [4] to which they still play games today. In 2023, FC Brownsville won the NPSL Lone Star Conference Championship, defeating #1 seed Lubbock Matadors SC 1-0. [5]

The Diablos were announced in September 2018 as an NPSL expansion side to play in the South Region's Lone Star Conference. [1] [2]The club was founded through a partnership between Damon Gochneaur, owner of the Denton-based Aspiro Agency, and Michael Hitchcock, owner of Playbook Management International and fellow NPSL side Fort Worth Vaqueros FC.
