The county has four incorporated cities and towns with a total population of over 15,000, [5] as well as many small unincorporated communities. The county is divided into 12 townships which provide local services. [6] [7] There are four Indiana state roads in the county, as well as three U.S. Routes and one railroad line.
Fishersburg is located in the center of the state, just west of the larger town of Lapel at the intersection of Indiana State Roads 32 and 13. It is bordered to the west by Hamilton County. Anderson, the Madison county seat, is 10 miles (16 km) to the east by SR 32, and Noblesville, the Hamilton county seat, is 8 miles (13 km) to the west.

Wells County is a county in the U.S. state of Indiana. As of the 2020 United States Census , the population was 28,180. [ 1 ] Its seat of government is Bluffton . [ 2 ]
Another early Gibson County settler was William Hargrove, who came from Kentucky by pack mule in 1803; Captain Hargrove commanded a company of militia from Gibson County at the Battle of Tippecanoe in 1811.
