In 2010 and 2011, during Women's Month and as part of the "For You, Women" charitable program, the Surb Astvatcamayr Medical Center in the Armenian capital of Yerevan offered free gynecological and surgical services to the women of Armenia for a full month. Women from across the country arrived seeking treatment.

Kinbazhin (Armenian: Կինբաժին), was a women's organization in Armenia, founded in 1920. It was the Armenian chapter of the Zhenotdel, and had the task to introduce the new role of women in Armenian SSR. [1] While it did not fully achieve the ideal Communist society, it did achieve a revolutionary change in the life of women in Armenia.

[3] "Mother Armenia" has a height of 22 metres (72 ft), thus making the overall height of the monument 51 metres (167 ft), including the pedestal.
