Haruhi tends to be apathetic towards events, preferring to remain at a distance, and observing until she needs to act. She is astute in gauging other people's motives, and her ability to see people's true intentions through their deception is the main reason others are drawn to her. Haruhi dislikes sweets but has a fondness for seafood.
The DVD of the concert was released on July 27, 2007. On April 29, 2009 Suzumiya Haruhi no Gensō (涼宮ハルヒの弦奏, The Symphony of Haruhi Suzumiya) was held in Tokyo with music by the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra and Philip Chu as conductor. The event featured songs and background music from the anime arranged with a classic twist.
Kyon sees a young Haruhi sneaking into her middle school and helps her draw strange symbols on the athletics grounds, keeping his identity secret. Both of her voice actresses for the animated version, Aya Hirano for the Japanese version and Wendee Lee for the English version, are in fact the same people who voiced Haruhi Suzumiya in The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya anime; other voice actors from the same series make guest appearances during the course of Lucky Star.
