This is a list of airports in Florida (a U.S. state), grouped by type and sorted by location.It contains all public-use and military airports in the state. Sebring's first race was held on New Year's Eve of 1950, and the first 12 Hours of Sebring was held on March 15, 1952. The latter would grow to be a major international race. In 1959, the racetrack hosted the first Formula One United States Grand Prix. For much of Sebring's history, the track followed a 5.38 mile (8.66 km) layout.
The airport was opened in April 1940 as Conners Field. It was leased by the United States Army Air Corps in 1941 as an auxiliary training field, and used by the Hendricks Army Airfield B-17 Flying Fortress training school near Sebring during World War II.

Highlands Hammock State Park is a 9,000-acre (3,640 ha) park 4 miles (6 km) west of Sebring in Highlands County, Florida, off U.S. 27. The park opened in 1931, four years before the Florida state park system was created.
