Erik George Williams (born September 7, 1968) is an American former professional football player who was an offensive tackle in the National Football League (NFL) for the Dallas Cowboys and Baltimore Ravens. He played college football at Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio, where he was an NAIA All-American offensive lineman.
Williams played for the Detroit Lions between 1984 and 1989 and the Washington Redskins between 1990 and 1993. He was selected in the third round of the 1984 NFL draft. [1] Williams was a starting defensive tackle with the Redskins in 1991 that went 14-2 and won Super Bowl XXVI.
From 1992 to 1995, together with Erik Williams, Mark Tuinei, Mark Stepnoski, John Gesek and Kevin Gogan, he was part of some of the best offensive lines to play in NFL history, known as “The Great Wall of Dallas”.
