The New Theatre is a historic theatre building at 11 North 10th Street in Fort Smith, Arkansas. The Beaux Arts building was built in 1911, and was supposedly modeled on the New Amsterdam Theatre in New York City .
The New Theater (Sparks Theater) located at Garrison Ave. and North 11th Streets was constructed in 1911 by George Sparks who was then president of First National Bank of Fort Smith. Sparks was so inspired by the architecture of the New Amsterdam Theater that he hired the same architect to build his theater in Fort Smith.

Fort Smith is the third-most populous city in Arkansas, United States, and one of the two county seats of Sebastian County. [4] As of the 2020 census, the population was 89,142. [5]
The mall underwent a major renovation in 1999, which included new flooring, skylights, interior finishes and site lighting. Other improvements include a domed food court with an outside dining area, a seating capacity of 350, and a children's soft play area constructed in 2002.
