In 1995, Schmit returned to the AMA Nationals at Millville, finishing fourth place for Honda of Troy. He also won the four-stroke Motocross Championship for CCM in San Bernardino, California. Schmit died on January 19, 1996, from aplastic anemia, after his wife Carrie rushed him to the hospital with a severe headache.
During his five-year stint in America, Dobb would race for Pro-Circuit Kawasaki, Suzuki America and the Honda of Troy team. Whilst not winning any major titles, he was one of the series' top riders, winning an AMA National at Southwick. Unfortunately, injury affected his 1996 season, and he was left without a ride for 1997.
The AMA Supermoto Championship was an AMA Pro Racing-sanctioned Supermoto motorcycle racing series that ran from 2003 through 2009. [1] AMA Pro Racing was a wholly owned subsidiary of the American Motorcyclist Association.

Bayliss spent the season riding a Ducati 999 , even though production of the 999 had ended in 2006 and the bike had been replaced by the Ducati 1098 .
