Rhododendron periclymenoides, the pink azalea [1] or pinxter flower, is a species of shrub in the heath family Ericaceae. It is native to eastern North America, where it is widespread from Alabama to New Hampshire. [2] It is often found in riparian areas, in wet to dry forests.
