Bradford County is a county in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.As of the 2020 census, its population was 59,967. [2] Its county seat is Towanda. [3] The county was created on February 21, 1810, from parts of Lycoming and Luzerne Counties.
Pennsylvania Route 187 runs north–south through the township, becoming New York State Route 282 north of the state line. According to the United States Census Bureau , the township has a total area of 32.3 square miles (83.6 km 2 ), of which 32.0 square miles (83.0 km 2 ) is land and 0.23 square miles (0.6 km 2 ), or 0.71%, is water.
North Towanda Township is located near the center of Bradford County, on the southwest bank of the Susquehanna River.It is bordered by the borough of Towanda to the southeast, Towanda Township to the south, Burlington Township to the west, and Ulster Township to the northwest.
