Little Grassy Lake is a 1,200 acres (490 ha) reservoir in southern Illinois, created by the damming of Little Grassy Creek, a tributary of Crab Orchard Lake and the Big Muddy River. Most of the lake is located in Williamson County, southeast of Carbondale, Illinois. The lake is accessible from Giant City Road out of Carbondale, Illinois.

Most of the lake is located in Williamson County, southwest of Marion, Illinois. The lake is accessible from Interstate 57.
Lake sturgeon, endangered in both Indiana and Illinois, as well as banded killifish, threatened in Illinois, are both part of the Wolf Lake ecology. The lake has an average depth of 18 feet (5.5 m) with a maximum depth of 52 feet (16 m) .
The early Illinois River frontier town of Meredosia, Illinois, which is adjacent to the lake, grew through utilization of lakebed resources. Commercial fishing in Lake Meredosia continued at a high level until 1900–1910, when toxic waste was injected into the Illinois River through the newly dug Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal.
