The Zee Cine Award (ZCA) is an annual Indian awards ceremony for the Hindi film industry. [ 1 ] [ 2 ] [ 3 ] They were instituted in November 1997 to award "Excellence in cinema – the democratic way".
The Zee Cine Award for Best Actor – Male is chosen by the viewers of Zee Entertainment Enterprises as part of its annual award ceremony for Hindi films, to recognise a male actor who has delivered an outstanding performance in a leading role. Following its inception in 1998, a ceremony was not held in 2009 and 2010, but resumed back in 2011.

The Zee Cine Awards are presented by Zee Entertainment Enterprises for the Hindi film industry. The awards were inaugurated in 1998 and are a mixture of categories decided on by public votes and by an industry jury. The awards were not presented in 2009 and 2010, but were resumed from 2011. Padukone has won seven awards from Fifteen nominations.
The Zee Cine Award Best Actor in a Supporting Role- Male is chosen by a jury organized by Zee Entertainment Enterprises, and the winner is announced only at the ceremony. Actors Abhishek Bachchan and Anil Kapoor have won the awards thrice while Saif Ali Khan has won the award twice. The most recent recipient is Anil Kapoor. [1]
