Karl Denson (born December 27, 1956) is an American funk and jazz saxophonist, flutist and vocalist from Santa Ana, California.He plays with the Rolling Stones and was a member of Lenny Kravitz's band [1] and has co-founded and led The Greyboy Allstars.
In 1970s, French moved to San Diego and became a leading figure in the local avant-garde jazz scene. [1] During that time, he was a member of the San Diego band CETA VI . [ 2 ] His first recorded appearance was on 1977's Sir Henry at Rawlinson End , a spoken-word, solo comedy record by Vivian Stanshall .
Earthless' debut album, Sonic Prayer, was released in 2005 and won the 2007 Best Hard Rock Album award at the San Diego Music Awards, [8] where their second album, Rhythms from a Cosmic Sky, was also nominated for the same award and the band themselves were nominated for Best Hard Rock Artist. [9]
