The combination of rake and trail determines how stable the motorcycle is. The 'fork' on a motorcycle consists of multiple components.
The motorcycle featured a three-cylinder two-stroke engine built right into the front wheel, transmission and clutch, with more comfortable front and rear suspension. The design of the transmission is similar in concept to the transmission in Honda's N360AT, [31] [34] a kei car sold in Japan from 1967 to 1972. The CB750A uses the same engine as the CB750, but detuned with lower 7.7:1 compression and smaller carburettors producing a lower output, 35.0 kW (47.0 hp).
The RF series uses a U-shaped water-filled radiator, which allows the engine to sit lower, and closer to the front wheel. The oil filter is also water-cooled, and there is a cooling fan fitted to the rear of the radiator. This is effective at cooling the motorcycle to the point where it can be used happily at 9,000 ft without overheating.
