Sejongno (Korean: 세종로), officially Sejong-daero (Korean: 세종대로) is a street that runs through Jongno District, downtown Seoul, South Korea. It is named after King Sejong the Great of Joseon. The street is 600 meters in length, but due to its central location it is of great symbolic importance.
The district also features numerous major business centers and office buildings as well as diplomatic missions. The headquarters of South Korean skincare retailer, The Face Shop, is located in the LG Gwanghwamun Building on Sinmunno 2-ga. [9] The head office of Air Seoul is in the Kumho Asiana Main Tower on Sinmunno 1-ga. [10]
Many of Korea's largest bookstores including the Kyobo Book Centre (near Sejongno), Youngpoong Bookstore, and Bandi & Luni's Bookstore (Jongno 1-ga) are located near Jongno. Jongno Tower is a 33-story office building. Its top floor is equipped with a restaurant and bar which is famous for its view of Jongno and other areas of Seoul.
