Yes, you will need a special event permit. Applications are available online, or at the office of the Village Clerk. Applications require Village Board approval, and must be received at least five business days prior to the Board meeting.

The Planning Department administers the zoning codes, development regulations, and comprehensive plan of the Village. The Planning and Zoning Commission reviews petitions for amendments to the zoning code, zone map, special uses, and zoning variances.
The project goal is to refresh and improve the look of Peotone’s downtown area, while replacing the aging infrastructure of Village streets, as well as sidewalks, which will enhance the pedestrian and motorist experience in a more attractive and walkable business district.
The Village President serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the village. The Board of Trustees serves as the legislative branch of the village. The Village President and each Trustee are elected at large and serve four year staggered terms.
