Hey Loufish. All good brother, to each is own. For sure the Raptor is a bad ass off-truck. I myself have had a Gen 1 2014 and now a Gen 2 2017, unfortunately I live in Northern Jersey and work in the city, I haven’t had a chance to go off roading but I know my truck is capable of doing it.
2017 Raptor Fabtech 4" Suspension Lift Kit K2263 . Quote. Nov 5, 2017 #2 mcote1 Full Access Member. Joined ...
Fabtech makes pretty decent lift kits. I had a ProComp 6" lift on a 2004 F-150 Lariat and a Fabtech 6" on a 2007 FX4. The main problem with this drop bracket style lift kit is that it does exactly that... drops everything down with extended bracketry. When you do that, your allowing off-road forces to gain more leverage on your parts.
My wife has a 2013 Supercrew with a 4" Fabtech lift kit. I was interested in getting her a tune but wanted to beef up the rear suspension first to avoid wheel hop. Does anyone know what my options are with this lift kit installed?
It was only a matter of time...there's now a 4" suspension lift, made by Fabtech and offered by Outlaw (got the email this AM). Imagine running up to 38" tires without having to go with all new glass fenders... "Since Ford released the Raptor in 2010 as an out of the box pre-runner truck...
I bought my Raptor off the lot with the Fabtech lift (I did not do my due diligence) and wanted to see what kind of feedback I could get as to what the best route of fixing/changing out the Fabtech components. Obviously there has been some things cut, but I want to understand what changes should be made and why.
Like any traditional pickup "suspension lift" It's just a spacer that moves the front suspension down 4" away from the frame. It structurally compromises and weakens the truck, changing the load path of forces taken by the front end. With a truck that's designed to go fast and sometimes do so slightly airborne, this becomes a major problem.
I don't know if it's actually compatible with the Raptor but 4wheelparts says Fabtech has a 4" lift that's compatible with the Raptor. A 4" lift would have roughly the same center of gravity as top perch, keep stock angles on the cv axles and other suspension components. So, why is a 4 inch suspension lift bad?
I personally, have never like Fabtech stuff. To me, it’s lacking quality, cheaply made stuff. If you want to go with higher quality, better UCAs, I would recommend Camburg. Pricey, but great quality usually costs.
I have bf ko2's 37s, true beadlocks, mid perch stock front shocks, fiberwerx fenders, 3.0s rear withe deaver +3.
