Selamat Sultan (pronounced [səlamat sultan]) is the state anthem of Kelantan, Malaysia.Its melody was composed in 1927 by Allahyarham Mohamed bin Hamzah Saaid (1895–1971), the Goa-born Bandmaster of the Kelantan Police Band who was ordered to have an instrumental song played for the then-Sultan of Kelantan, Ismail. The Kelantan royal family consists of the family members of the Sultan of Kelantan. It currently consists of Muhammad V of Kelantan and his close relations. The Sultan and his family belong to the House of Long Yunus. The ruling house had founded the monarchy in 1267 and continues to be in power to this day. [1]
