Time-Life music did a phenomenal job with this series (Classic Rock), and this disc is a great beginning. Sound quality on "1964" is very good and the anthology is a good mix of big hits and less familiar hits (like Hippy Hippy Shake and Do Wah Diddy Diddy).
1964 marked a definitive turning point in rock and roll. The British invasion swept across the United States, drastically changing the music charts within six months, and American radio would never be the same.
