Hillsdale is an active commuter railroad station in the borough of Hillsdale, Bergen County, New Jersey.Servicing trains on New Jersey Transit's Pascack Valley Line, the station is located at the intersection of Broadway (County Route 104) and Hillsdale Avenue (County Route 112).

The railway, one of the first to be planned in Portugal, was opened on 2 April 1887. [2] [3] The southern terminus was changed from Alcântara-Terra to Rossio, after the station was inaugurated in June 1891. [2] The duplication works were completed on 20 January 1949, and during the 1950s, the line was electrified.

The line opened in 1904 over the 11.7 kilometres (7.3 mi) between Sintra railway station and Praia das Maçãs. A connecting 1 kilometre (0.62 mi) long urban tram route linked the Sintra station with Sintra Vila. Besides passenger traffic, freight was carried, principally between Banzão and Sintra station. [2]
