It has three courses: The Pioneer, The Willows, and Fox Run. All three of the courses accommodate low handicapper players.The Pioneer is the shortest of the courses, playing to a par 71.

Howard Colyer managed the Glyndon Hotel from 1939-1974. Colyer moved from South Carolina to manage the Hotel in the late 1930s for his uncle T.H. Collins. Later, the Hotel was sold to a local man. The Glyndon Hotel as well as other properties were sold to George Tye Baker in 1974. George Tye Baker was a real estate investor and retail merchant.

The Stearns Golf Course, at 131 Clubhouse Dr. in Stearns, Kentucky, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015. [ 1 ] The nomination included 180 acres (73 ha) including the 49 acres (20 ha) golf course, a log clubhouse built in 1936, and a kidney-shaped in-ground pool.
The land was originally owned by Nicholas Cruger, and later by a group of individuals including R.A. Wilkinson, Catherine and Gilbert R. Fox, Henry DeGraaf, Warren Leslie, and several others. By the 1880s it had been acquired piece by piece by Guillaume A. Reusens, a businessman of Belgian ancestry who bred racehorses.
