From 1979 to 1999 the show was a biennial event. It was held at the World Trade Centre, Singapore, from 1979 up until it moved to Suntec for the 1996 and 1998 shows. In 1999 CommunicAsia was held at Singapore Expo, where it continued to be hosted up until 2010.
