Donington Park is a site near Castle Donington in North West Leicestershire, England. Originally part of the Donington Hall estate, it is leased by Donington Ventures Leisure Ltd from owner Tom Wheatcroft. Used as a motor racing track, it is also the venue for the Download Festival.

It opened on 6 December 1869 as Castle Donington, when the Midland Railway opened the Weston, Castle Donington and Trent branch. [1] It was renamed Castle Donington and Shardlow on 13 June 1901 [2] before being closed to passengers on 21 September 1930. [3] It was closed to freight in 1967 and was demolished soon after.
