Softnyx Ltd is a South Korean video game developer and distributor that was founded in 2001 by Jinho Kim in Seoul.The company first released the hit game GunBound in 2003, introducing Indonesian servers in April, Chinese servers in June and an International server in August.
Gunbound (stylized as GunBound; Korean: 건바운드 Geonbaundeu) is a free-to-play, multiplayer, turn-based artillery game developed by South Korean developer Softnyx.It has been compared to the Worms series as it shares many common gameplay features.
In 2004, two more new games were published and co-published: Gunbound from Softnyx and TS Online, and in late 2005, MapleStory from Wizet. In June 2022, Asiasoft announced that shareholders are approved for changing company direction and changed their name to Asphere Innovations to focus on the digital tech company.
