Lincoln County is a county in eastern Central Oklahoma. As of the 2020 census, the population was 33,458. [2] Its county seat is Chandler. [3] Lincoln County is part of the Oklahoma City, OK metropolitan statistical area. [4] In 2010, the center of population of Oklahoma was in Lincoln County, near the town of Sparks. [5]
In 1956, the United States, Canada, and Mexico came to an agreement with the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators, the Automobile Manufacturers Association and the National Safety Council that standardized the size for license plates for vehicles (except those for motorcycles) at 6 inches (15 cm) in height by 12 inches (30 cm) in width, with standardized mounting holes. Midlothian is an unincorporated community in Lincoln County, Oklahoma, United States.The post office was established in 1902 and the town plat filed in 1904. The post office closed in 1919 and the school was consolidated with the Chandler School District in the 1940s.
